Basketball Game Preview: Pleasanton Blu-Jays vs. Northeast Vikings

Pleasanton and Northeast are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Pleasanton Blu-Jays will be playing at home against the Northeast Vikings on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Pleasanton and six for Northeast.

Last Tuesday, Pleasanton had to suffer through a 44-11 loss at the hands of Jayhawk Linn. While losing is never fun, the Blu-Jays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while the Jayhawks are ranked 76th).

Meanwhile, Northeast was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 35-29 to Uniontown.

Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Pleasanton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1.

Pleasanton couldn't quite finish off Northeast when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 34-32. Can Pleasanton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
