Football Game Preview: River View Raiders vs. Tolsia Rebels

The River View Raiders will head out to face off against the Tolsia Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. River View has given up an average of 32.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

River View's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Bluefield on Friday. They were outmatched by the Beavers and fell 48-0. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Beavers are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Tolsia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-28 heartbreaker at the hands of Wirt County.

River View's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Tolsia, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for River View against Tolsia in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-20 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Rebels' Robert Evans, who rushed for 181 yards and two scores, and also picked up 92 receiving yards and one TD.
