If West Point was riding high fresh off their 16-5 takedown of Browne last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dragons came up short against the Marana Tigers on Wednesday, falling 15-5. The Dragons' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Zerianna Gomez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Mariah Mendez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

West Point's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Marana, their record now sits at 15-11.

Looking ahead, West Point will challenge Tolleson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marana, they will take on Tucson High Magnet School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
