Basketball Game Preview: South Lafourche Tarpons vs. A.J. Ellender Patriots

South Lafourche is 2-8 against A.J. Ellender since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The South Lafourche Tarpons will head out on the road to challenge the A.J. Ellender Patriots at 7:00 p.m. South Lafourche knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully A.J. Ellender likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, South Lafourche humbled Morgan City with a 65-37 victory. The victory continues a trend for the Tarpons in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, A.J. Ellender didn't have too much trouble with Lutcher on Friday as they won 57-42.

South Lafourche's win bumped their record up to 22-10-1. As for A.J. Ellender, their victory bumped their record up to 15-29.

Everything came up roses for South Lafourche against A.J. Ellender in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 65-3 win. Will South Lafourche repeat their success, or does A.J. Ellender have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
