Basketball Recap: Kennedy Eagles vs. Waterbury Career Academy Spartans
Kennedy lost against Waterbury Career Academy back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Kennedy Eagles took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waterbury Career Academy Spartans. Leading Waterbury Career Academy to victory were Alex Turner and Anthony Rodriguez. Turner posted 16 points and seven rebounds, while Rodriguez scored 14 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Those seven boards gave Turner a new career-high. Maekhi Weaver was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Kennedy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.
