Peninsula was the 3-0 winner over Wiseburn- Da Vinci when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Peninsula Panthers fell just short of the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Peninsula sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-23, 18-25, 25-13, 22-25, 15-8.
Emma Mabery was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven digs and two aces.
Peninsula has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, their win bumped their record up to 12-14.
