16 must be Caruthersville's lucky number: they beat Vashon with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Tigers didn't even let the Wolverines on the board, marking the Tigers' second-straight 16-0 shutout. Considering the Tigers have won eight contests by more than eight runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Caruthersville pushed their record up to 12-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Vashon, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
