Casa Grande waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Petaluma Trojans a 10-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 on April 2nd.
Lila Partridge was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run.
In other batting news, Lucy Da Roza was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Alex Giacomini, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
