Casa Grande waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Petaluma Trojans a 10-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 on April 2nd.

Lila Partridge was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

In other batting news, Lucy Da Roza was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Alex Giacomini, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Casa Grande lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Casa Grande pushed their record up to 15-5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Petaluma, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-6 record.

Coming up, Casa Grande will face off against Justin-Siena at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gauchos are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Petaluma, they will square off against American Canyon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
