Crosstown won the last time they faced University and things went their way on Thursday too. The Crosstown Explorers were the clear victor by a 10-1 margin over the University Tigers. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 6-0.
Crosstown's offense was hitting University from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Terell Clayton led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.
The win made it two in a row for Crosstown and bumps their season record up to 2-0-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those two matches. As for University, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crosstown will face off against Lakeland Preparatory at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give Lakeland Preparatory their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. University will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Douglass at 5:00 p.m. on April 10th.
