Bellefonte had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Forest Hills on Friday. The Raiders put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Peyton Vancas was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other pitching news, Triston Heeman looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Back at the plate, Bellefonte got a massive performance out of Evan Mattern, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave Mattern a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Thornburg, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

Bellefonte was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory was the third in a row for Bellefonte, bringing their record up to 11-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Forest Hills, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-5.

Bellefonte has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Juniata on the 20th. As for Forest Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against West Shamokin on the 19th.
