It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Auburn had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Altavista Colonels. The result was nothing new for Auburn, who have now won 13 games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Altavista with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kaycie Smith (3), Alyson Funk, and Kenleigh Smith.

The win was the fourth in a row for Auburn, bringing their record up to 16-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four matches. As for Altavista, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13-3.

Looking ahead, Auburn will face off against West Point at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. West Point will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Auburn surely won't give up without a fight. Altavista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
