Softball Recap: Rutland Hurricanes vs. Central Chargers

Rutland proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 15) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 win over the Central Chargers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hurricanes have posted since August 20, 2024.

Brielle Howell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and nine unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Rutland got a big performance out of Adrianna Kadian, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
