Ramona came into Wednesday's game looking for another win against Valhalla, but Luke D'Alessio wouldn't allow it. The Valhalla Norsemen came out on top against the Ramona Bulldogs by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday with plenty of help from D'Alessio, who had 21 digs. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 18 or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Valhalla had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 27-25, 27-25, 25-16.

Valhalla's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Ramona, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Valhalla will square off against Steele Canyon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ramona, they will face off against Escondido Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
