Volleyball Recap: Lomira Takes a Loss

Lomira lost against Columbus back in September of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16.

Leading Columbus to victory were Mia Powers and Macy Reetz. Powers had 13 kills and two aces, while Reetz had 18 assists and three digs. Powers has been hot, having posted eight or more kills the last seven times she's played.

The win made it two in a row for Columbus and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Lomira and Columbus will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Lions will take on rival Winnebago Lutheran Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Columbus is set to face off against their familiar foe Waupun at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
