Basketball Recap: Weleetka Skates Past Butner with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Weleetka). They breezed by the Butner Eagles to the tune of 67-6 on Friday. The Outlaws have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Weleetka has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.6 points per game. As for Butner, their defeat was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Weleetka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-36 win against Arkoma on the 18th. As for Butner, they will head out on the road to take on Macomb at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
