Baseball Recap: Skyline Drops Season-High Score on West

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Skyline). They were the clear victors by a 23-0 margin over the West Panthers on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.

Mason PapaDakis made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Skyline is 2-1 when PapaDakis allows two or fewer hits, but 8-9 otherwise. PapaDakis was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Skyline got a massive performance out of Cole Muse, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Muse has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was George Zervos, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Skyline was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .417 or higher in four consecutive matches.

The win got Skyline back to even at 10-10. As for West, their loss was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-20.

Skyline will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
