Game recap

LILBURN, Ga. - Parkview (Lilburn, Ga.) grabbed the lead when Justis Rosser ran for a touchdown with less than a minute remaining in the fifth quarter and held on to upset West Forsyth (Cumming, Ga.) 26-23 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured three lead swaps.

The Wolverines pulled ahead on a Mohamed Camara touchdown run, and subsequently went into halftime leading 17-13. The Panthers took the lead for good with a touchdown run by Rosser in the fifth quarter.

Despite scoring zero points in the third, Parkview still trailed by 7 points going into the fourth quarter. But seven points in the fourth helped PHS pull out the victory.

The loss came as a surprise for West Forsyth, which entered the game ranked No. 8 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Georgia, while the Lilburn school was ranked No. 10.

Shaq Vereen was the top performer for the Panthers. The senior ran for two touchdowns.

Timmy Hartshorn made a difference for WF. The junior kicked three field goals and two extra points.

The loss comes after West Forsyth defeated Collins Hill 66-41 last week.
