Recap: Templeton Eagles vs. Righetti Warriors
On Tuesday, Templeton was able to grind out a solid victory over Righetti, taking the game 55-45. Given Templeton's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while Righetti is ranked 956th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Trevon Carter givens, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last ten times he's played. Luke Cherry was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Templeton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Righetti, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Templeton will challenge Atascadero at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Atascadero's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for Righetti, they will head out on the road to challenge Nipomo at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
