Basketball Game Preview: Collins Titans vs. Spencer County Bears

Collins hasn't had much luck against Spencer County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Titans will head out to face off against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. Collins will be strutting in after a win while Spencer County will be coming in after a defeat.

While Collins didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 51-33 victory over Thomas Nelson on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 61 points the game before, Spencer County was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They came up short against Sacred Heart, falling 48-22. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.

Collins' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Spencer County, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

Collins was dealt a bruising 61-19 defeat at the hands of Spencer County in their previous matchup back in January of 2025. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
