Baseball Recap: Columbus Finds Home Field Redemption Against Seward

There's no place like home for Columbus, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Seward Bluejays by a score of 5-2 on Saturday. The Discoverers haven't had any issues with the Bluejays recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Dayton Snyder looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Connor Cameron and Grant Zoucha did most of the damage at the plate: Cameron scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4, while Zoucha scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Quenton Gustafson, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The victory got Columbus back to even at 1-1.

Columbus didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-3 defeat against Lincoln Southwest on the 24th. As for Seward, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 15-5 loss against Norris on the 24th.
