Recap: Edison Chargers vs. Vermilion Sailors
The Edison Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 56-42 to Vermilion. Edison was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Vermilion apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Edison lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ivy kluding. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points kluding has scored all season. Ella Booth was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Edison has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Vermilion, they pushed their record up to 6-9 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Edison will face off against Huron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vermilion, they will be playing at home against Oak Harbor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Harbor will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
