Softball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Okaw Valley Timberwolves, falling 24-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 13-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Jayden Schrock made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and earned one run and three stolen bases. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Peyton Curry-Varner, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Okaw Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Coincidentally, Heritage and Okaw Valley will both be playing Blue Ridge the next time they take the field. The Timberwolves will head out to face the Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Hawks will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
