            The Mountain View Bruins will face off against the Lone Peak Knights at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday. Mountain View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4  runs per game  this season.
Mountain View made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Woods Cross, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bruins' pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats  a   15-0 shutout  on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bruins considering their two-run performance the  game before.

 Brinlee Gillman was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Gillman was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  doubles and one  RBI. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Saralynn Hair was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one  home run and three  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Callie Huff, who  scored three  runs while going 3-for-3.
 Mountain View  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .640. They are 7-2 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
 Meanwhile, Lone Peak was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat. They lost  10-0 to Westlake.
 Mountain View is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Lone Peak, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Lone Peak's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Mountain View has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .499. It's a different story for Lone Peak, though, as  they've  only  averaged .338. Will they be able to contain Mountain View's hitters?
