Basketball Game Preview: Xavier Prep Saints vs. Shadow Hills Knights

Xavier Prep hasn't had much luck against Shadow Hills recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Xavier Prep Saints will venture away from home to challenge the Shadow Hills Knights at 6:30 p.m. Xavier Prep has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.

Last Friday, Xavier Prep sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-59 victory over Desert Hot Springs.

Meanwhile, Shadow Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch last Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Cajon. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly four points.

Xavier Prep's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-11. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for Shadow Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Xavier Prep lost to Shadow Hills on the road by a decisive 58-42 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Xavier Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
