Softball Game Preview: Galena Pirates vs. Lena-Winslow Panthers

Galena hasn't had much luck against Lena-Winslow recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Galena's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against West Carroll by a score of 4-0. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Thunder: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Lena-Winslow was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of Orangeville by a score of 2-1. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Galena's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-3. As for Lena-Winslow, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
