Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Prep Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 48-47 to the Frankenmuth Eagles.

Frankenmuth got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Edwards out in front who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Landon Jacobs, who had nine points.

Notre Dame Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-8. As for Frankenmuth, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Notre Dame Prep has already played their next contest, a 72-65 victory against Divine Child on the 6th. As for Frankenmuth, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Frankenmuth Eagles challenge the Freeland Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Freeland will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Frankenmuth surely won't give up without a fight.
