Basketball Recap: Chloe Briand Key Part of a Team Effort in Bobcats Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wheatland-Grinnell, Western Plains was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 45-28 win over the Heartland Christian Crusaders. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 48-46 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Western Plains' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chloe Briand, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Kraus, who posted 15 points along with eight boards and six steals.

Western Plains' win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Western Plains has already played their next contest (against Northern Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Heartland Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
