Volleyball Recap: Texas School for the Deaf Wins Going Away Against Oklahoma School for the Deaf

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vanguard College Prep, Texas School for the Deaf was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Oklahoma School for the Deaf Bison 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Rangers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Texas School for the Deaf took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-8, 25-14.

Texas School for the Deaf found their leader in sophomore Jozephine Rocha, who had seven digs and two aces. Sulianie Casella also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Texas School for the Deaf was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 23 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Texas School for the Deaf's record is now 21-18-1. As for Oklahoma School for the Deaf, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Coming up, Texas School for the Deaf will head out to square off against Concordia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oklahoma School for the Deaf does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
