Basketball Game Preview: McClain Tigers vs. Piketon Redstreaks

The McClain Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Piketon Redstreaks at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as McClain comes in on 13 and Piketon on three.

Last Wednesday, McClain humbled Jackson with a 51-18 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Piketon didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Eastern on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 47-43 win.

McClain pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Piketon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

McClain strolled past Piketon when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 47-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for McClain since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
