Basketball Recap: Snyder Takes a Loss

Snyder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They were dealt a 102-36 loss at the hands of the Liberty Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1234th, while the Patriots are ranked 129th).

Snyder's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Andres Martinez, who posted 11 points, and Ethan Rios, who had eight points.

Snyder's loss dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Liberty, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-4.

Snyder will face off against Big Spring at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Snyder is facing Big Spring at the right time seeing as Big Spring is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Liberty has already played their next match (against Lake View), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
