Wilson Christian Academy dropped their record down to 11-3 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Rocky Mount Academy Eagles by a score of 6-5. If the Chargers were looking for revenge after losing 15-1 to the Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Katie McBryde made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

As for Rocky Mount Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

On Rocky Mount Academy's side, Berkeley Miller made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Miller has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Katie Bulluck was excellent, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Martha Calhoun was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Wilson Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-2 win against Calvary Christian on the 8th. As for Rocky Mount Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-2 victory against GRACE Christian on the 10th.
