Basketball Game Preview: Central City Bison vs. Milford Eagles

Two dominant centers in Hope Paup and Shayla Rautenberg are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Central City Bison will square off against the Milford Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Central City comes in on seven and Milford on 18.

On Tuesday, Central City strolled past Broken Bow with points to spare, taking the game 37-22.

Central City's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Journi Schindler, who posted seven points, and Reagan Fousek, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Milford over David City in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Eagles blew the Scouts out of the water with a 72-40 final score. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 26 points or more this season.

Central City's record is now 23-2. As for Milford, their record now sits at 23-1.

Central City ended up a good deal behind Milford when the teams last played back in December of 2020, losing 56-41. Can the Bison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
