Football Recap: Highlands Ranch Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Thursday just wasn't the day for Highlands Ranch's offense. They had to suffer through a 37-0 loss at the hands of the Ponderosa Mustangs. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Falcons were not able to get on the board.

Rylan Hume threw for 96 yards on 13 of 31 attempts. Grant Adamson was his top target, picking up 81 receiving yards.

It was another big night for Troy WcWhorter, who rushed for 242 yards and three scores while picking up 10.5 yards per carry for Ponderosa. The Mustangs are undefeated when WcWhorter posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

Highlands Ranch has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Ponderosa, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Highlands Ranch will take on Dakota Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Ponderosa, they will host Golden at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
