Baseball Recap: Salem Takes a Loss

Salem managed to slip by Teutopolis the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Wooden Shoes, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Salem now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Teutopolis, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salem will welcome East Alton-Wood River at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Oilers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.23 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Teutopolis, they will host Robinson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
