Basketball Recap: Hooper Bay Comes Up Short

Hooper Bay was the 58-37 winner over Chevak when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hooper Bay Warriors fell 61-52 to the Chevak Comets on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chevak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kali Hill, who posted 19 points. The matchup was Hill's third in a row with at least ten points. Sarisha Ulroan was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Hooper Bay's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chevak, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Hooper Bay will be taking part in a tournament against Petersburg at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hooper Bay is facing Petersburg at the right time seeing as Petersburg is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Chevak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
