Junior Valdez and Deon Johnson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Valley. The longest such play in Metropolitan this season, the connection resulted in 88 yards.

Burbank added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Kennedy, 63-6. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.

Caden Voges threw for 347 yards and 5 touchdowns. He went 16-30 with 2 interceptions.

Tory Smith was a key player and the best on defense this week as Florin bested the Vikings. The 5-foot-10 senior recorded 2 fumbles.

Kyree Stephens was the best receiver in the league this week as Sacramento defeated McClatchy. Stephens racked up 5 receptions for 193 yards. Iyzick Webber helped Sacramento's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 84 yards.

The Dragons' Voges and Damen Wheeler led Metropolitan in both passing and receiving yards. Voges has thrown for 3,052 yards this season, while Wheeler, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 58 catches for 1,127 yards. Floyd Hillis-Cooper from the Cougars leads the league in rushing with 1,745 yards.

In 117 carries Kijafa Burgie has accumulated 959 yard this year.

The Panthers moved up to 852 from 901 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Florin climbed the ranks as a result of topping Valley 52-16.
