Volleyball Recap: Rolla Comes Up Short

Rolla managed to slip by Hickman the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs came up short against the Kewpies on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Rolla was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19, 25-16.

Rylee Dodson paced Rolla's offense, picking up 11 kills. Dodson really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 19. Finally, Parker Garcille kept Rolla's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Rolla's loss dropped their record down to 9-12-4. As for Hickman, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-11-1.

Coming up, Rolla will head out on the road to take on Licking at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hickman, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Blair Oaks on the 8th.
