East Central took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They came out on top against the Shelbyville Golden Bears by a score of 7-3. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Golden Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.
Paige Hotze spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on 12 hits and racked up six Ks.
