Volleyball Recap: Sarcoxie Takes a Loss

Sarcoxie lost against Miller back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bears came up short against the Cardinals, falling 3-0.

While Sarcoxie was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Miller's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13, 25-19.

Alexis Letts paced Sarcoxie's offense, picking up 11 kills. Letts got some help from Jordyn Misner and her 15 assists. Finally, Letts was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Sarcoxie has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7-1 record this season. As for Miller, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Sarcoxie has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against New Heights Christian Academy on the 20th. As for Miller, they will take on Lamar at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
