Soccer Recap: Powell Takes a Loss

Powell was the 3-1 winner over Grace Christian Academy when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers came up short against the Rams on Tuesday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Powell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Grace Christian Academy are ranked 21st).

Powell has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-4-2 record this season. As for Grace Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Powell didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Heritage on the 3rd. As for Grace Christian Academy, they will take on Lakeway Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
