Basketball Game Preview: Clark Chargers vs. Rancho Rams

The Clark Chargers will challenge the Rancho Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Clark comes in on five and Rancho on 13.

Clark is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 73-43 win over Green Valley. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Rancho beat Somerset Academy Losee 58-49 on Tuesday.

Clark better keep an eye on Jakoi Lide. He was instrumental in Rancho's win, going 9-for-22 to rack up 24 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Lide's evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Destiny Teah was another key player, putting up 11 points and six boards.

Rancho smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive contests.

Clark's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Rancho, they pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
