Volleyball Recap: Kayla Tuakalau's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Amphitheater over Douglas

Amphitheater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Douglas Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 6th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-16.

Amphitheater's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayla Tuakalau, who had seven kills and four blocks. Tuakalau is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emily Simpson, who had three aces.
