Baseball Game Preview: Auburndale Apaches vs. Osseo-Fairchild Thunder

The Auburndale Apaches will challenge the Osseo-Fairchild Thunder on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Auburndale made easy work of Durand-Arkansaw and carried off a 10-1 win. Considering the Apaches have won eight contests by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Osseo-Fairchild had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Panthers.

Auburndale is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Osseo-Fairchild, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
