While Richfield's win against Washburn wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Millers on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Millers: they've now won six in a row.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Washburn, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richfield will venture away from home to face off against DeLaSalle at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Washburn, they will head out to take on Roosevelt at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Millers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Teddies have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
