Baseball Recap: Kerman Lions vs. Sierra Pacific Golden Bears
Kerman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Wednesday.
Kerman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Manha, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.
Kerman's loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Sierra Pacific, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Kerman will be taking part in a tournament against Carson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sierra Pacific, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Clovis North at 10:00 a.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Bears 3.7, the Broncos 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
