Softball Game Preview: TERRA Environmental vs. Lourdes Academy

TERRA Environmental will head out to face off against Lourdes Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. TERRA Environmental has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

TERRA Environmental is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Tuesday. They lost 14-6 to St. Brendan.

Makayla Sosa was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Aryana Hussain, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Coral Shores hit Lourdes Academy with a four-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. Lourdes Academy took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Coral Shores.

Mia Rivera was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Rivera was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Jianna Bustamante made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

TERRA Environmental's record now sits at 11-5. As for Lourdes Academy, their record is now 9-5.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. TERRA Environmental has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Lourdes Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

TERRA Environmental might still be hurting after the 21-5 defeat they got from Lourdes Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can TERRA Environmental avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
