Basketball Game Preview: River Ridge Royal Knights vs. Fivay Falcons + How To Watch

River Ridge is 1-9 against Fivay since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Royal Knights will challenge the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. River Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Fivay likes a good challenge.

River Ridge will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Mitchell, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Royal Knights walked away with a 70-61 victory over the Mustangs on Saturday. While the Royal Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Fivay scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 78-61 fall against Land O' Lakes. Even though they lost, the Falcons' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.3 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

River Ridge will need to focus on slowing down Joell Morales, one of several Fivay players who made an impact when they last played. He shot 47% from the field en route to 19 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Morales has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 47% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Trevon Larry, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

River Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Fivay, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

River Ridge couldn't quite finish off Fivay when the teams last played back in January and fell 86-84. Can the Royal Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
