Basketball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 66-20 loss at the hands of the Pine Hill Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-17 back in January.

Nevaeh Natan continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pine Hill, going 10-for-18 en route to 24 points along with six boards and five steals. Natan is becoming a predictor of Pine Hill's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 12-4 (and 3-5 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Skye Henry, who posted 11 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Pine Hill, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-9.

Coming up, Northwest will take on Tse' Yi' Gai at 5:00 p.m. on February 18th. As for Pine Hill, they will face off against Coronado at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
