Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Shoals Jaguars vs. Jackson County Panthers + Official Tickets

The Cedar Shoals Jaguars will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Jackson County Panthers at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Cedar Shoals is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Habersham Central on Saturday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, Jackson County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through an 89-58 loss at the hands of East Forsyth.

Cedar Shoals strolled past Jackson County in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 66-51. Will the Jaguars repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
