Basketball Recap: Laney Falls Short of Butler in the Playoffs

Laney and Butler squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Laney had to settle for second. They came up short against the Butler Bulldogs, falling 66-42. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

Butler's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rania Curry led the charge by dropping a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. Brayla Harris was another key player, en route to 20 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Laney now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Butler, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6.

Laney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Butler, they have already played their next match, a 42-36 defeat against Josey on the 21st.
